I grew up in Vancouver, British Columbia, where I spent many rainy weekends drawing at my kitchen table. Early defining artworks for me include the short film, "The Snowman", Maira Kalman's book, "Hey Willy, See The Pyramids", "Ragtime" the musical, and Sir Quentin Blake's drawing manual, "Drawing For The Artistically Undiscovered".
